At the time of his passing, Bob was the Virginia District 11 Administrator and well know not only across Virginia, but throughout the Southern Region and has received a number of Little League International service awards.

Bob's legacy covered over 60 years to Little League including: 

• Coach and Manager in Clinch River Little League from 1960 until 1969.
• Manager in Lebanon Little League from 1969 until 1980.
• President of Lebanon Little League from 1981 until 1988.
• Assistant District Administrator from 1972 until 1988.
• District Administrator for Virginia District 11 from 1988 until Present.
• Member of the Little League International Board of Directors from 1998 until 2002.
